Before joining Bray & Krais as an associate in October 2023, Jonathan trained and worked in the Intellectual Property team at leading international firm Clifford Chance, qualifying in 2021.
Jonathan is experienced in advising a range of clients on copyright law, licensing and commercial agreements. In 2023, Jonathan obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Intellectual Law and Practice from the University of Oxford, and has featured as an expert on issues regarding music, AI and copyright in Fortune magazine.
Before pursuing a career in law, Jonathan studied Music at the University of Cambridge, and completed a Masters in Musicology at King’s College London, mainly focused on popular music. His background as a musician combined with his legal knowledge helps him provide expert and practical advice to clients.
